Natural History Museum of Utah
Attracting around 78,000 visitors each year, the Natural History Museum of Utah is part of the University of Utah’s Rio Tinto Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Through the work of its four curators – Duncan Metcalfe, Ph.D., Eric Rickart, Ph.D., Mitchell Power, Ph.D., Randall Irmis, Ph.D. – the museum’s mission is to shed light on the natural world and the humans within.
Visitors to the museum will find extensive collections throughout the Anthropology, Biology, and Geology sections, which together contain millions of artifacts and animal specimens. A popular destination for school tours, the museum offers a wealth of educational programs and even after-school, Saturday, and summer classes.
