Most Popular Area Attractions

Arches National Park

Set on 75,000 acres, Arches National Park is one of five national parks in Utah. Designated in 1971 in central Utah, the park is a collection of over 2,000 sandstone arches – many of which are world-famous.

Arches National Park provides its visitors with a number of outdoor activities, including hiking, auto touring, backpacking, and biking. A bike path leads from the nearby city of Moab to the park, while road trippers may enjoy nature photography, scenic drives, stargazing, and ranger-led tours of the Fiery Furnace.

Canyonlands National Park

Drawing over 473,000 visitors annually, Canyonlands National Park stretches into parts of San Juan County, Wayne County, Garfield County, and Grand County, closest to Moab, Utah. Governed by the National Park Service, the park offers 337,598 acres of opportunities for outdoor adventures.

Popular Canyonlands trail activities include hiking, mountain biking, backpacking and four-wheeling, while stretches of the Green River and Colorado River lend themselves to rafting, kayaking, and fishing.

Hole In the Rock

The quintessential roadside attraction, the Hole In the Rock is located in central Utah near Moab. Found on Highway 191 – you really can’t miss it – the Hole is a historic home covering 5,000-square-feet.

The former home of the Christensen family, Hole In the Rock is now available for 12-minute tours. The Canyonlands Country site also features an exotic zoo, souvenir shops, art galleries, and plenty of photo ops.

Moab Mountain Bike Festival

The beautiful red rocks of Moab in central Utah are ready for mountain biking action each fall. Bring your mountain bike to join in the fun during the Moab Ho-Down Mountain Bike Festival & Film Festival. Each year for four days, festival participants have fun racing on Moab's red rock trails. The Shimano Super D Race takes riders through five miles of the lower Porcupine single-track trail and portions of the Porcupine Rim Trail.

Get ready for speed on the North Face Downhill Race, where riders race down the false summit of Amasa Back. Enjoy watching racing movies throughout the festival, and catch awards ceremonies, costume parties, and a hot pepper eating contest.

Natural Bridges National Monument

Just northwest of Four Corners, Natural Bridges National Monument is located in southern Utah, two hours south of Moab. Named the state's first National Monument by Theodore Roosevelt in 1908, the park's Sipapu Natural Bridge is one of the largest in the world.

The park also contains the impressive Kachina and Owachomo natural bridges, found along Bridge View Drive. A short hike reveals the Ancestral Puebloan Horsecollar Ruin – abandoned over 700 years ago. Monitored by the National Park Service Night Sky Team, the park also offers stargazer's the clearest and darkest sky ever assessed.

Rainbow Bridge National Monument

One of the tallest natural bridges in the world, Rainbow Bridge National Monument is located in southern Utah. The park is accessible via boat ride on the nearby, well-known Lake Powell.

The natural wonder is managed by the National Park Service, in cooperation with the Navajo, Hopi, San Juan Southern Paiute, Kaibab Paiute, and White Mesa Ute tribes. Visitors are asked to be respectful of the monument and the surrounding area as it is long celebrated as a sacred and religious place by the tribes.
