The seat of Carbon County, Price is a lively city set in central Utah – just southeast of Scofield State Park along the Price River.
Price is home to Utah State University-College of Eastern Utah, also known as USU Eastern and the site of the USU Eastern Prehistoric Museum. Featuring specimens from the Cleveland Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry, the museum was opened in 1961, and features exhibits on Fremont culture, Utah’s Ice Age, and the Utahraptor.

Price visitors may hike the famed rock art at Nine Mile Canyon – known as "the world’s longest art gallery" – or explore more than 100 archaeological sites listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
